Spinal Warmup

Now we will dive into the spinal warmup series, a foundational practice in Kundalini Yoga that aims to awaken the energy at the base of the spine and move it upward through the chakras. This series is designed to prepare the body for deeper practice by loosening up the spine and increasing flexibility. By regularly incorporating the spinal warmup series into your yoga routine, you can experience increased energy flow, improved posture, and a sense of overall well-being.

It is ideal to do this or some version of this spinal warmup series. Make it your own, modify for each day, but the important thing is to consistently show up. If you have only 3 minutes, do one exercise for 3 minutes, or three exercises for 1 minute each. It doesn't matter.

Spinal Flex:

Makes your spine limber, filled with luminosity. awakening the energy centers and the energetic meridians along the spine.

Spine Twist:

Also known as the washing machine. it is very detoxifying, giving the organs an internal massage and wringing out the spine in the center.

Cat Cow:

Spine flexibility and heart opening. promotes freshening of cerebrospinal fluid, bringing vitality to the brain. adjusts the thyroid to increase metabolism and energy.

Neck Rolls:

Stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system and relaxes tension of the upper back, shoulders and neck. It opens the throat chakra.

Aura Charger:

Cleanses the electromagnetic field around the body, where illnesses are stored as energetic blocks as well as imprints of childhood trauma. Let’s your radiance shine.

Relaxation:

This is one of the most important pieces to the series. it allows for the work to be integrated deeply at the cellular, energetic and spiritual levels.

Remember to listen to your body and honor its limitations, avoiding any movements that cause pain or discomfort. As you progress in your practice, you may notice improvements in your spinal flexibility, posture, and overall physical well-being.
